Elizabeth moved to Richmond to attend Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned a BFA in Interior Design and a minor in Anthropology. She came for the education and stayed for the coffee, and has since worked primarily in hospitality, workplace, and higher education interior design.

Elizabeth’s passion for design is rooted in her love of connection—between people, ideas, and experiences. Drawn to the power of communication through space, she is inspired by the opportunity to create interiors that allow individuals and communities to innovate, function seamlessly, and express their own stories. It is this ability to shape meaningful moments through design that fuels her process. She brings this devotion to connection to her role on the IIDA board where she helps bridge the gap between academia and the professional design community. Through thoughtful leadership and mentorship, Elizabeth supports emerging designers as they find their voice, build confidence, and step into the future of the industry.

Outside of work, Elizabeth can always be found with her dog Banksy or planning a trip somewhere new. Whether that’s a new restaurant or a new country, anything and everywhere is on the table.
