Ramapo College of New Jersey – Bill Bradley Sports & Recreation Center

The new Sports and Recreation Center at Ramapo College dramatically expands student opportunities for intercollegiate athletics, intramural sports, recreation, and community outreach. Our team began with an assessment of the College’s master plan, producing strategies for both campus growth and the athletic facilities expansion.

Programming was a collaborative process that reached deeply into the college community, balancing the needs of intercollegiate athletics, intramural sports, student recreation and college administration. The two-level structure occupies an irregular, elongated site, making the most of daylighting, as well as views and campus topography. The architectural expression is both energetic and inviting, enlivened by people, activities and light.
