This satellite ambulatory center includes a Cardiovascular center of excellence, a Cardiovascular testing center, an Orthopedic, Rheumatology and Sports Medicine center of excellence, a Bariatric surgery practice, a Diagnostic Imaging center, a Testing Lab, a Physical Therapy and Wellness area and a Conference/Education Center. This project represents an innovative adaptive reuse project: the building, a single story “big box,” has had multiple reincarnations, starting as a supermarket. The “big box” concept lends itself well to re-purposing for healthcare because the large structural bays and high roof structure offer the highest degree of planning flexibility.
