Rodney Stone
President | Los Angeles, CA

Rodney received his architectural education at the prestigious Pratt Institute in Brooklyn… and on the streets of New York City. Since he was 15 he wanted to be an architect and over 50 years later, he still loves it.

Like his love for architecture, Rodney has a love for art. He has a small collection that is shown off at his quarterly cocktail parties. Art and connecting people… life can’t get much better than that.

In his spare time, Rodney enjoys being pampered with the full spa experience from steam rooms to facials to massages. Rodney describes himself as politically incorrect… most of the time! He says whatever is on his mind in meetings and people have come to expect hearing his unvarnished opinions.

If he had not gotten into architecture and workplace design, he’d probably be some other kind of artist. He feels fortunate to have found his dream career so early in his life, and that he still enjoys waking up every morning to the opportunity to meet new people and new challenges.

Rodney likes to say he designs SPACE for PEOPLE to RESPOND to.

Stephanie Boldon
Associate, Project Director | Los Angeles, CA

While she’s traveled the world to exotic places like Thailand, Israel and Croatia, Stephanie Boldon was born and raised right here in Southern California. And as a native Californian, Stephanie loves to stay physically active. You might find her hiking in Mammoth Lakes, or attending a fast-paced cardio class in the Valley with one of her two favorite teachers – the siblings of famed Tae Bo founder, Billy Blanks.

But Stephanie likes her quiet time too. She enjoys the mental stimulation of working crossword and Sudoku puzzles. Or she might cuddle with her cats, Cinnamon Toast and Finn while watching the Lakers. Stephanie admits her musical tastes have expanded from high school when she was into The Clash and The Ramones. (She even sported a colored Mohawk for a short period of time.)

But today she enjoys a different musical vibe, like the rock band Muse. Stephanie can be complicated – and a bit of a rebel when it comes to a serious subject though. Like ice cream. She goes for the unexpected flavor every time – Salted Carmel.

Stephanie DePalma
Accounting Specialist | New York, NY

Stephanie, intrigued by the architecture and interior design industry, began at ENV as an administrator handling a variety of tasks, from accounting to event planning to office management. As the firm grew, so too did Stephanie’s role within it. Today, she enjoys her position as Accounting Specialist, and continues to find her work stimulating. She still assists in an admin capacity, leading the way with company outings like the annual fall gathering and holiday party.

In her free time (when she’s not taking care of her two Yorkies), Stephanie is an experienced skier and weekend chef. She loves Italian food and states that she can “eat pasta every single day.” She likes all kinds of music, but especially music from the 70s, having grown up with her parents listening to it. Stephanie is also a car enthusiast and attends shows. Her dream car is a black Maserati GranTurismo with red seats.

Steve Chang
Project Designer | New York, NY

Steve became interested in the world of architecture at an early age. His uncle was the head architect for Incheon International Airport in South Korea, one of the largest and busiest airports in the world. Steve was further inspired by a Korean tv show that renovated homes for low income families. He later found himself working for one of the show’s architects.

Because of the way interior design can influence peoples lives for the better, Steve chose to study interior design and received an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and a masters from Pratt Institute. With ten years of experience under his belt in a diverse array projects from retail to healthcare to corporate, along with an NCIDQ certification, Steve is involved in every step of the design process at ENV, from the initial schematic design to construction administration.

Aside from design, Steve is also passionate about music. He plays the guitar, bass, keyboard, and hand drums, and has also composed many songs. He enjoys acoustic and soft music.

Stuart is a maker in many senses of the word. If she is not at work, she is likely painting, woodworking, sewing, cooking, or observing wonderful works of design made by others. She likes to live life by the motto: why not see beautiful things?

Zak Silapaswang
Senior Project Coordinator | New York, NY

As a young man in Thailand, Zak completed his training in Architecture at a top university there. Shortly thereafter, he moved to the U.S. and continued his graduate education in both architecture and interior design at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.

His talent at technical detailing and his hand drawing skills were apparent and he was quickly snatched up by a company that saw this ability.

And such was the start of many years of milestones and accomplishments in the design industry, including studying under Eleanor Roosevelt’s own woodworker. One thing about Zak through his years is that he has seen many changes! When computers were first introduced into design, Zak did not shy away from the technology. He dove right in spending many “after hours” sessions seeing what he could do with this new set of tools. He truly made the program his own; so much so that it became known as Zak-CAD around the office.

Zak has been with ENV (Environetics) for many years. He really appreciates the creative freedom he has here and how he is given the chance to run with his ideas. He loves the technical aspects of interior design and he is a go-to problem solver. It’s all in the fine details and creating a finished space that our clients enjoy and are very happy with that brings him satisfaction. Recently he has been working on many projects for the Durst Organization and Calvin Klein. He still freehand sketches drawings to this day at times when working out solutions.

When not at the office, he enjoys time with his kids and grand kids. He has always enjoyed playing and watching tennis and golf when he has time to. Zak looks forward soon to see his own design in a personal way as he has drawn up a renovation for his home that he hopes to see take shape in the near future.

Zoe Hyman
Designer | New York, NY

For as long as she can remember, Zoe has been interested in all things art and design. Whether it be constantly rearranging her childhood bedroom, helping her mother design their family home, or sketching countless renditions of her ideal living space, Zoe has always had a fascination towards the organization, functionality, and aesthetics of space. It wasn’t until college that Zoe decided to pursue architecture. After a casual conversation with her brother on her winter break of freshman year, Zoe decided to enroll in her first architectural studio the following spring semester. She soon earned a reputation as “that friend” who constantly stops short in her tracks to admire some minute detail on a seemingly ordinary building. And, despite all the late nights in the studio, Zoe fell in love with the blend of creativity and practicality that architecture had to offer.

Zoe graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Architecture and Sustainable Development and is committed to shaping a more sustainable future through her designs.

Outside the office, Zoe enjoys catching up with friends and family, playing with her two goldendoodles, Augie and Billie in New Jersey, and running around Central Park. She is also a huge foodie and can be found eating her way through NYC.
